Head of Regulatory, Quality and Compliance
Maria joined Commercial Eyes in 2017 and leads the Regulatory, Quality and Compliance team. With over 17 years of industry experience in regulatory and manufacturing roles in global companies, working in head office and local affiliate environments, and at Commercial Eyes, Maria has developed expertise in regulatory, quality and compliance.
Maria has extensive experience in developing regulatory strategies and providing insightful regulatory advice to a variety of stakeholders to support new product launches, commercial objectives and maintain regulatory compliance. She has led a large number of regulatory applications, and quality and compliance projects in a variety of therapy areas. Maria has been involved in the preparation, review and assessment of regulatory documentation at all stages of the development cycle as well as regulatory agency meetings. Maria also participates in industry and professional association working groups.
Maria is responsible for multiple teams within Regulatory, Quality and Compliance supporting clients with new product applications, life-cycle maintenance, and compliance activities for prescription, over-the-counter and complementary medicines, and medical devices, as well as providing support for cosmetics, food products and quality management systems. In a 12-month period, the Regulatory, Quality and Compliance team complete over 160 projects across a diverse range of therapies.
Maria has an undergraduate qualification in Science and a master’s degree in Business Administration.
When she is not at work, Maria enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active and travelling to new places.
