Andrew is the founder and Managing Director of Commercial Eyes Pty Ltd and has over 30 years commercial experience working in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry.
Andrew established Commercial Eyes Pty Ltd in 2001. The company is headquartered in Melbourne, employs over 100 staff and is recognised as the foremost pharmaceutical and medical device commercialisation consultancy in Australia and New Zealand.
In 2021, Andrew was made a Life Member of BioMelbourne Network. This recognition is in addition to Andrew receiving the Australian medicine industry’s highest honour, the prestigious Pat Clear Award 2014. The respective awards recognise the significant role Andrew has played in developing medicine industry policy and the growth of the biopharmaceutical sector in Victoria.
In addition to Andrew’s leadership and industry experience, he is a highly qualified and skilled company director, with over twenty years of governance experience, both in the private and public sector.
Andrew is currently a non-executive director of Rare Voices Australia Ltd, immediate past President of ARCS Ltd and a former Chair of BioMelbourne Network Inc. He is a member of the University of Melbourne, Master of Biotechnology Advisory Board and recently concluded his tenure as a member of the Medicines Australia Advisory Council.
In addition to Andrew’s pharmaceutical and medical device industry roles, he has a strong commitment to social justice and the not-for-profit sector.
Andrew’s non-executive director roles over the past 20 years include being Chair of Melbourne City Mission Ltd, Chair of the Melbourne CBD Youth Refuge Advisory Committee, Member of the Committee for Melbourne Not For Profit Taskforce and Councillor of Whitley College, University of Melbourne.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Pharmacology and Immunology (Monash), a Graduate Diploma of Business (Swinburne) and Master of Commercial Law (Monash) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
