World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on the 7th of April, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization. Each year raises awareness to a specific health topic of concern to people all over the world. This year’s theme is “Health for All” emphasises the need for accessible essential health services for all people worldwide.
On this World Health Day, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting our employees’ health and wellbeing. We are committed to providing a positive and supportive work environment, including a range of health and wellbeing initiatives that enable our people to thrive. Our mission is to help our clients deliver a healthier tomorrow for Australia and beyond, and we recognise that this starts with prioritising the health and wellbeing of our people.
Our Health and Wellbeing Initiatives
We understand the vital role that employee’s health and wellbeing play in achieving business success. That is why we are committed to a variety of health and wellbeing initiatives to enable our people to support our mission to help our clients deliver a healthier tomorrow for Australia and beyond.
One of our key initiatives is our Reward Days Program, to recognise the importance of taking time to recharge and prioritise health, wellbeing and self-care. This program provides all staff with:
- a Wellbeing Day Off in April to focus on their physical/mental health and general wellbeing.
- a Birthday Day Off to ensure they spend their special day doing what they enjoy the most.
– Rebecca ” The EnergEyes program has enabled me to set up a fabulous ergonomic home office, and the wellness day provides an extra day leave to do something special with my wellbeing as the focus. The birthday and tenure reward days enable me to spend more time with family.”
In addition, our people have access to the Commercial Eyes EnergEyes Program. Our EnergEyes program includes an annual wellbeing allowance that can be used to support health and wellbeing, including but not limited to gym memberships, flu shots, fitness equipment, activewear, yoga, massage, and physio sessions. This program enables our employees to access essential healthcare services and alleviates some of the financial burden that comes with maintaining good health.
All Commercial Eyes employees and their immediate family members also have 24×7 access to our comprehensive Employee Assistance Program. This enables them to access independent and confidential counselling and advisory service to assist in any work or family related difficulties whenever they need it. We understand that everyone can experience challenges at home or at work and we want to ensure our people have the support they need in the moments that matter the most to them.
At Commercial Eyes, we also recognise that flexibility plays an important role in ensuring work-life balance, which is essential for good health and wellbeing. That is why we have in place a variety of Flexible Work Practices that provide everyone with the opportunity to work their way based on their needs and lifestyle.
– Mel “Commercial Eyes is a great place to work. I’m proud to be a part of a company that always makes you feel safe, supported and productive. I appreciate the flexibility offered at CEPL which allows me to be the best version of myself, to balance my work commitments and my role as a mum to two little ones”
Commercial Eyes is a Great Place To Work
Our efforts in creating a supportive culture for our people, have also been acknowledged by being recognised as a Great Place to Work-Certified company in Australia. We are proud to have this certification as it validates our commitment to providing a safe, productive, and supportive workplace to all our employees.
