Sherri Bruinhout, Director, Homelessness & Justice Services at Melbourne City Mission, joined us at the Commercial Eyes all staff conference this month to talk about her experience of working with young people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, disengaged or requiring support.
Some of Sherri’s stories were incredibly heartbreaking and highlighted how easily any young person, from any family, social or cultural background, can find themselves isolated and alone and in need of a helping hand.
As such we were incredibly pleased to be able to present Sherri with a donation toward the work of the Melbourne City Mission’s Frontyard Youth Service that supports the physical, social and emotional needs of vulnerable young people. Commercial Eyes has been a proud supporter of Melbourne City Mission for more than ten years. Andrew Carter, our Managing Director, chairs the Melbourne City Mission Board.
