The Opportunity
We’re looking for a driven Medical Information Manager with a passion for both medical information and people leadership to join our vibrant, multicultural team.
As Medical Information Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the assigned project portfolio across the Japan and Asia Pacific (JAPAC) region. You will also develop and manage a team of Medical Information professionals to ensure the assigned client’s medical information service is delivered in accordance with internal CEPL SOPs and policies, client requirements, regulations, and guidelines. This is an initial 1-year fixed term contract reporting to the Head of Medical Information.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Lead a team of medical information professionals to ensure the smooth delivery of the medical information service.
- Provide project leadership including client liaison, project scoping and proposal development, project team resourcing, project management and delivery and client follow up.
- Provide assistance and support to the Head of Medical Information in areas of the business unit management, including the development and implementation of strategic plans, as required.
- Ensure receipt, processing and follow-up of all external and internal customer requests occurs within agreed timeframes and through provision of comprehensive, high quality balanced and accurate responses that meet company & industry requirements and standards.

About you
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced people manager and Medical Information professional with expertise in Australian and New Zealand and/ or JAPAC medical information environment. You have previous people management experience within a medical information, call centre, consulting, healthcare, pharmaceutical or customer service environment. You enjoy client and project management and are passionate about training and developing others.
Desired qualifications and experience
- Have completed studies in pharmacy, nursing or relevant scientific disciplines such as Drug Development or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Previous experience in a Medical Information role.
- Experience in Australian and NZ requirements for drug safety reporting.
- Strong knowledge of medical literature and drug information databases; strong ability to evaluate and communicate scientific data.
- Proficient in technical writing.
- Knowledge of, and experience with QMS including documentation management.
- Proven experience in people supervision, mentoring and leadership.
- Strong project and client management experience.
- Practical working experience with CRMs, technology platforms, digital collaboration tools and databases.
- Consulting experience will be highly regarded.
