Our People and Learning (P&L) team is part of our Non-Consulting division and provides HR support to all business units. With more than 100 employees around Australia and beyond, the P&L team is responsible for the ongoing learning, performance and development of our people.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an HR / Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our People & Learning team. Reporting to the Head of People & Learning, this is a  full-time, fixed term generalist role responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment, induction, onboarding and supporting employee relations, along with other people & learning initiatives. 

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to local and global projects, while offering guidance on contemporary people management practices, company policies and procedures. 

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, from creating job descriptions to onboarding, ensuring a positive candidate experience and adherence to best practices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates, tertiary institutions, and other partners to support a diverse talent pool and long-term engagement.
  • Oversee HR administration, maintain accurate records, optimise HR systems and processes, and stay informed on HR trends for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a strong organisational culture by exemplifying Commercial Eyes values, supporting culture-building initiatives, and enhancing internal communications.
  • Support and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflicts, providing guidance and effective resolutions while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a fair and legally compliant workplace.

    About you

    You are a warm, adaptable and flexible individual with a genuine passion for supporting people’s development. Your excellent project management, planning, and organisational skills will help you effectively manage competing priorities. You possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a results-orientated mindset.  Integrity, confidentiality, and self-motivation are at the core of your work ethic, allowing you to work independently or as part of a team with confidence.

     

    Desired qualifications and experience
    • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or other relevant fields. 
    • Previous experience in an HR generalist or Talent Acquisition role (preferably in the JAPAC Region).
    • Strong understanding of HR legislation and processes
    • Excellent communication skills. 
    • High level of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering results while managing multiple initiatives.
